緑の力
そよ風にゆらゆらする初夏のブーケ
新緑が眩しい季節になってきました。
今回のレッスンでは、枝ものや初夏の花を束ねて、爽やかなブーケを作っていただきます。
自然素材でブーケのベースとなる部分を作成して、出来上がったベースにバランスよく花材を入れていきます。
風を感じさせるように空間や揺れを意識しきながらまとめましょう！
ベースは繰り返し使えるのも嬉しいですね。
出来上がりのサイズは個人差がありますが、高さ40~50cm x 直径約30~40cmです。

カリフォルニアロール？！
お祝いのテーブルにぴったりな、可愛いロール型アレンジ
世界的に年々人気を増す和食。国内で食べる和食とちょっと違ったりしていますね。 その国で手に入りやすい材料を使ったり、国民の好みに味をアレンジしたり、どんどん進化しているきがします。
その流れに乗って、今回のレッスンでは、新しいお寿司（？）を提案しています！
寿司職人になったつもりで、ロール状のベースを作って、その中に可愛いお花をトッピングしていきます。
難しい作業はありませんので、お花初めての方も楽しく作っていただけます。
出来上がった「巻き寿司」は試食できませんが、入学・入社などお祝いの食卓を華やかに演出してくれるでしょう！
出来上がりのサイズは個人差がありますが、約幅25cm x 奥行10cm x 高さ10cmです。

お手紙
可愛い手作りレター風アレンジ
手書きのお手紙がだいぶ減りましたこの頃ですが、もらったらなんだか嬉しいですね。
今回は、伝えたいことを花に託して、お手紙風アレンジメントを作ります！
まずは封筒に見立てたベース作りから。紙は２色からお好きな色を選んでいただけます。高級感を出すため、花柄のインナーも入れましょう。
出来上がった「 封筒」にバラや季節の小花を自然にあしらっていきます。
みなさんはどんな思いを花に託しますか。
出来上がりのサイズは個人差がありますが、約幅15~20cm x 奥行10cm x高さ20cmです。

It’s three and a half years since I happened to wander into a lovely flower shop in the neighbourhood and immediately fell in love with a pink arrangement. I’m a big fan of Sally’s flower lessons.
I started learning by imitating Sally’s arrangements. There’s always something handmade, and both craftsmanship and tips to take away, that it’s really become quite a habit.
Sally can be mischievous, an English teacher, and even on occasion Spartan, so every lesson we all end up roaring with laughter as we create adorable compositions.
I’m always enamoured by Sally’s floral creations as they are so totally different. I dream of being able to make such lovely arrangements one day…and I am addicted to her monthly lessons!

I have participated in several of Sally's lessons.
Her Instagram photos are lovely but the actual arrangements are even lovelier!
She generally avoids using non-natural materials like wire but is very creative in the details so I learn a lot from every lesson.
We make arrangements where you can be creative using seasonal materials but she teaches the basics to each person.
Her Japanese is very fluent as well, so chatting during the lesson is also part of the fun.

Rather than employing a unilateral teaching style, Sally's lessons tend more towards workshops where participants can create freely with flowers as the subject medium. She brings out each person's individuality and ideas, always incorporating some form of additional activity, beyond simply arranging the flowers. As a result, participants’ designs can end up being totally different and it is fun to appreciate the various compositions together.
Design topics are wide ranging, inspired by anything from the changing seasons and traditions of her home country, England, through to, at times, the latest hot trends … all of which makes for lots of emergent creativity!

I am the first Vietnamese who choose Mami Flower Design School intensive course to have my first education in floral design. Sally-sensei is my first teacher there and I think this is my luck. She is full-passionate in flower design: skillful, considerate, effective in teaching, sense of humor & graceful. Her class always made me feel enjoyable and I completely satisfy with the knowledge I get from her.
One of my favorite thing in her lesson is to enjoy the combination between a Western & Japanese style in the way she teaches & in her design that make the lesson more interesting.
Even when I finish my study & return to Vietnam, any time I need advice from her, she is always there for me.
